CANADA’S “SCOTTY” TYRANNOSAURUS REX IS THE
WORLD’S LARGEST EVER DISCOVERED

In March of 2019, The Royal Saskatchewan Museum announced that they were ready for the public to see “Scotty” the world’s largest Tyrannosaurus Rex discovered to date. This means that Canada’s “Scotty” T-Rex is now the world’s largest fossil ever discovered and “Sue” who is on display at the Field Museum in Chicago moved to second place. Sue is 44 ft long and Scotty is 45 ft long, but both are fossils of the dinosaur bones.

Canada’s Dinosaur Park has replicated Sue & Scotty by creating life-size animatronic Tyrannosaurus that move & roar. Since our dinosaurs are fully fleshed out, we are calling them Scott and Susan – more dignified now that they have their skin back on their bones.

You can see these two giants at Canada’s Dinosaur Park this summer … bring a camera.

World’s Largest
T-REX

The Royal Saskatchewan Museum announced that “Scotty” a nearly complete fossil discovered in 1991 has been added to the museum and now ranks as the largest T-Rex ever discovered. He weighed about 10 tons and was 13 meters long. The Tyrannosaurus Rex is 65 million years old and is the first T-Rex discovered in Canada. Scotty takes the “World’s Largest” title from “Sue” who is replicated at our park and the real bones are located at the Chicago Museum.

Over 1,000 Species Of Dinosaurs Discovered

At Canada’s Dinosaur Park, we have over 100 dinosaurs and 100’s of reptiles. Dinosaurs once ruled the earth for about 150 million years and to date scientists have discovered over 1,000 fossils of different dinosaur species. More are discovered each year, some are identified by a single bone, claw or tooth. Sometimes mistakes are made and dinosaurs are reclassified and renamed. Over 50 dinosaurs were renamed last year.
